Peebles is on the main tourist routes to and from the Borders.

From Edinburgh

Take the A8 from the City Centre to Fairmilehead via Morningside. At Fairmilehead take the A702 to the junction with the A703 then stay on the A703 until you reach Peebles.

From Carlisle (and the South)

Take the A74 (M) to Moffat. From Moffat take the A701 past the 'Crook Inn' to the junction with the B712.  Continue on the B712 until you reach the junction with the A 72 ( a 'T' junction). Turn right and follow the A72 to Peebles.

From Newcastle

Take the A696 to Rochester then A68 to Jedburgh.  From Jedburgh, head for Galashiels via A68, A6091 and the A7.  Once in Gala, take the A72 to Peebles.
